Overview

We are looking for an ambitious and very capable Software Test Engineer with excellent knowledge of Linux and embedded systems. You will be joining a Cambridge based R&D organization who are developing clever and highly complex instrumentation systems which are used in an array of different industries. As a Software Test Engineer, you will work closely with the embedded software development team to write unit tests, systems tests and perform manual testing in close collaboration with other Software Engineers while expanding and improving the existing automated systems. Knowledge and/or experience with Python and C++ would be highly beneficial. Software Test Engineer Requirements Degree: 2.1 or 1st class MEng in Electronics Engineering, Computer Science or closely related discipline Familiarity with modern software testing techniques, including both manual and automatic software test. Good interpersonal skills for working within a multi-disciplinary technical environment Ability to produce clear documentation Strong logical, analytical and numeracy skills Some knowledge of any of the following would be beneficial: Python 'unittest' framework, C++, Jira, Git, Bash shell, Docker, Catch2 framework Vacancy Location: Cambridge (Commutable from Cambridge, Royston, Bury St Edmunds, Bedford, North London, Harlow, Stevenage, etc) Salary: £25k - £35k Benefits
