Outreach & Brokerage Advisers x2 / London / FTC until November 2020 / Paying £33,660/annually Your new company The municipal governing body for the City Of London is looking to recruit two Outreach & Brokerage Advisers to develop, implement and sustain the vision for a high-profile construction sector employment programme. Your new role The Outreach & Brokerage Advisers will be responsible for the following; The post-holder will deliver the casework and job brokerage support to individuals (and employers) to enable the Construction Careers programme to meet targets and objectives (quantitative and qualitative) and achieve value for money. They will deliver six key programme elements in partnership with the Outreach & Brokerage Manager, Senior Programme Manager and CLF borough teams. They will be responsible for the successful local delivery of the Construction Careers service to individual, unemployed residents of CLF boroughs and employers. They will maximise the impacts across both local communities and construction sector developers and businesses, capturing and disseminating lessons learned and emerging best practice. They will work closely with the CLF Construction Careers management as well as relevant borough officers / employer relationship holders/managers to meet sector employer needs, delivering a high-quality gatekeeper service to ensure quality matching and screening of appropriate residents who have been well prepared to meet employer vacancy/opportunity requirements and specifications and further, to ensure they are well supported to sustain employment. What you'll need to succeed My client is looking for the following skills and experience; Knowledge of the Construction Sector is preferable, including the labour market. Adaptability and flexibility to fit into and work across Local Authority organisational structures, processes and working practices. Qualification and / training in a relevant or related field which could include IAG, employment support, construction, recruitment, HR, coaching or health / social care. Employer facing job brokerage, supporting job ready candidates into employment opportunities. Delivering measurable interventions to unemployed or disadvantaged customers which address economic inequality and enable social mobility. Delivering successful outreach services to engage local residents onto programmes. Successful management of caseloads of people with widely differing needs, utilising case management and software systems to collate and manage data. Experience of using relevant information to help customers to make informed decisions about career choice and identify the best way forward. Making, managing and following up appropriate referrals to individual-support, skills and employment-preparation provision to up-skill and progress individuals towards employment. Excellent stakeholder and communication skills. What you'll get in return This is a full time fixed-term contract position. This role is paying £33,660/annually.
