We have partnered with one of Oxfordshire’s leading Digital Technology companies and are seeking a Test Engineer / QA Analyst to join them in their beautiful rural office south of Oxford . The Test Engineer will join a small and friendly testing/development team in a Test Engineer position that involves both manual and automated testing. The ideal Test Engineer will be a bright technology enthusiast with a keen eye and meticulous attention to detail The range of projects and great clients (including FTSE 100, universities and more) make this an exciting and engaging role. The new QA Test Engineer will play an important role in helping our client deliver cutting-edge SaaS solutions for a range of high profile customers. The Test Engineer will be well supported and will be reporting into the QA Lead. Work will involve (depending on skillset) Creating well-structured test plans and test cases Estimating, prioritising, and coordinating testing activities Identifying, recording, documenting, and tracking bugs and issues Performing thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved Conduct error investigations using exploratory testing techniques Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the software development life cycle Staying up to date with the latest software testing strategies and tools Creating automated testing scrips and processes. Technologies you will be using include TestRail, Jira, Browserstack, Automated testing tools (Selenium Webdriver), Jenkins, Confluence and more. What you need for this position: Proven experience as a QA Tester or similar role Experience working in an Agile development process Experience working with software development teams Knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools and processes Experience with testing accessibility Experience with automated testing tools Experience with testing APIs. This role also offer the opportunity to gain experience with the following: Java, C# or another OOP language. Selenium Webdriver, TestNG or other automated testing technologies Experience using different web browsers (e.g. Internet Explorer, Firefox, Chrome or Safari) Able to assess risks and make informed decisions This Test Engineer position is based between Oxford and Reading and is easily commutable from Reading, Oxford, Wallingford, Didcot, Abingdon, High Wycombe, Wokingham, Bracknell, Thame, Newbury, Swindon, Faringdon and many more locations.
