Overview

We are representing a growing software company in the south of Oxfordshire who are looking for an Automation Tester. This is an exciting new Automation Tester role with a focus on setting up automation frameworks and building automation pipelines from scratch The ideal Automation Tester will be a team player and be someone with some Selenium ( or similar automation tool) experience. The existing team are friendly and approachable and everyone shares a common passion for technology Our client create various types of platforms (SaaS) utilising multiple languages and development tools therefore the testing team always have plenty to sink their teeth into The Automation Tester should be prepared for a busy and challenging (yet very rewarding) role. As per our previous experience recruiting for this client, the environment is very supportive and collaborative Main Duties and Responsibilities: As the new Automation Tester you will be tasked with working with the team to establish a new automated pipeline using “best-of-breed tools” such as Selenium and also creating automated testing scrips to cover regression tests. This is a fantastic role working with an array of technologies across various platforms As well as automation work other day-to-day duties include · Creating well-structured test plans and test cases · Experience in both Agile and Waterfall · Staying up to date with the latest software testing strategies and tools. · Using a curious and methodical mind set to investigate issues. · Working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the SDLC Technology Stack includes: This position requires the use of an expansive technology stack including: TestRail, Jira, Browserstack, Automated testing tools, Jenkins, Confluence, Selenium, Cucumber, Gherkin, API’s, Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
