Overview

This is a unique opportunity to join a Government backed start up who have already made national headlines. You'll initially start on the smaller salary advertised but be given a stake within the company. Further funding is due shortly from private institutions which will allow your salary to rise. This role would suit someone recently affected by Coronavirus keen to secure new employment or an up and coming software Engineer who wants to be part of a company helping to save lives through Robotics. You will be working at the forefront of engineering as a Software Engineer by developing software applications to link the fields of additive Manufacturing (AM) and advanced robotics. You will be responsible for the rapid development of multiple bespoke software applications, written in the language of your choice. Your initial priority will be the development of a robot programming interface which is deployable onto a tablet PC and utilises a digital twin and human-robot interaction principles. Both founders are experts in their respective fields, Robert was the first person to engineer a metal AM part to be used in a road car in the UK and is an expert in metal AM, Phil has been developing collaborative robotic systems for companies such as BAE and Rolls-Royce for 5 years at the UK’s premier manufacturing research centre (AMRC). This is an exciting opportunity to join a tech start-up in its early stages and really make a difference to people's lives. At the beginning, prototyping will be your day-to-day job, but we will be hiring 1 back end engineer, 1 front end developer and 1 back end developer in January 2021.
