Overview

Show and further develop your leadership & managerial skills This is a demanding and rewarding managerial role, leading a team of high-calibre electronic engineers, responsible for the maintenance and breakdown support of high value radiotherapy and radiology equipment. Working in a leading NHS hospital you will manage the team of engineers responsible for the specialist technical support of the radiology and radiotherapy suites and associated supporting systems across 2 sites. Working closely with the Senior Management team and the Medical Physics department you will be engaged in all aspects of managing your team and the project life cycle of the equipment. It is crucial that you possess an electronic engineering background with at least 3-5 years hands-on technical support experience of complex electronic equipment. This can be from any industry whose technology can cross over to Radiotherapy and MRI, CT, X-Ray and U/S. Eg Radar. You should still be confidently hands-on, as you may need to assist your engineers in complex breakdown situations. In addition you should possess: Previous experience of managing an engineering service team. A BSc or HND in Electronic Engineering or similar. Previous NHS experience is not required and additional managerial training can be provided.
