Vorboss is hiring a customer-facing Junior IT Systems Administrator to maintain internal and client systems. The role includes an element of end-user support. The role is a blend of direct customer support and maintenance of internal systems. The ideal applicant will enjoy taking end to end ownership of issues. This role has a lot of room for development, learning new practical skills and with the option to include networking, VoIP and virtualisation. Applicants will manage cases on our support system and build the necessary client relationships to provide technical support to our exacting standards. The Role: Providing responsive, friendly support over the phone and via email with priority given to customer service Maintaining and developing systems (Linux, Windows, Windows Server, Active Directory etc) Providing basic networking support on switches and routers Maintaining elements of our VoIP platform Improving efficiency by automating tasks Acting as a primary point of contact for support cases and developing client relationships Efficiently troubleshooting Windows desktop and server environments Proactive maintenance of client applications (Backup, Endpoint Protection) Becoming proficient in new applications, assisting with installation and configuration Your Profile: An ideal applicant will have: A natural curiosity about technology and an interest in keeping up-to-date with new developments Knowledge of a variety of platforms Experience dealing with corporate clients, both remotely and in person An organised, methodical approach to their work and a strong preference for clear, well-documented process An ability to learn new concepts within a short time frame in order to meet rapidly evolving business needs Have 1 to 2 years background in a similar technical role We require that all applicants: Speak fluent English Have excellent written English Have a clean criminal record Have a current valid right to live and work in the UK Excellent telephone manner and confidence Salary & Benefits: We offer a competitive salary of up to £25,000 to £30,000 depending on your level of experience with excellent opportunities for skills growth.
