Overview

Scrum Master / Agile Coach for non - technical teams required to join leading Investments / Insurance company. You will be instrumental in helping teams outside the realms of Digital and Tec shift their mind set and approach and adopt agile scrum as a way of working. You will be working with cross-functional teams and specialisms, embedding agile thinking, coaching them in how to apply agile values, principles and practices and help deliver successful outcomes. You will support all aspects of the delivery process, combining technical excellence and pragmatic business acumen. As Scrum Master you will: Lead cross-functional teams (not just Digital and Tech) utilising the Scrum framework for tackling business problems, product development and projects. Facilitate Scrum ceremonies; release and sprint planning, daily stand-up, show & tell, refinement and retrospective. Identify, manage and remove team-level impediments, prevent distractions that interfere with sprint goals. Develop clear and concise escalation points. Provide transparency and visibility by tracking and reporting team-level delivery metrics. Radiate information. Drive the adoption of engineering practices such as test-driven development, pair-programming, automated testing and continuous delivery to improve quality and reliability of the team’s deliverables. Facilitate discussion and conflict resolution, empower the team to self-organise and manage. Take responsibility for coaching and mentoring team members on agile working. Effectively collaborate and communicate with your team as well as key development and business stakeholders. Find a balance between complying with test principles, audit requirements and commercial interests whilst constructively challenge these processes where you see potential improvements. Skills Required Agile Values, Principles & Practices (essential) An experienced Scrum Master who has helped transition and coach non Tech./Digital teams in applying agile values principles to their ways of working. Experience as an agile evangelist, promoting the value of agile software delivery. Leadership (essential) Experience in coaching and mentoring diverse teams and senior stakeholders. Experience in leading and motivating high performing teams. Business & Industry Experienced in working with a wide range of organisational structures, specialisms and frameworks. Financial Services experience is desirable or a similarly multi-functioned/specialised operation . Design and Delivery Process Technically aware of all elements of the delivery process from discovery to production deployment. Digital and Technology focus Digitally focussed and tech savvy. Technical experience in agile project management tooling and technologies.
