Job Description You'll work as part of an integrated part of a delivery stream and be required to conduct Flight Physics Test and Evaluation tasks in order to provide specialist technical advice in line with customer requirements. As one of the Flight Physics Engineers, you will focus on assessment of aircraft performance and flying qualities, aircraft handling, Flight Control Systems and Air Data Systems. This is a varied and challenging position which ranges from being completely desktop evaluation focused to being primarily flight test focused. We're looking for an understanding of Flight Physics principles / concepts and a basic knowledge of other disciplines, as well as the ability to make judgements based on the analysis of Flight Physics information. With knowledge of airworthiness / safety assessment and knowledge of technical governance, you'll be able to apply relevant principles and concepts to a range of work. The successful candidate will also have some technical understanding of the air vehicle life cycle. Key Accountabilities: Completing specific specialist technical activities Appropriately utilising technical processes, methods and tools within the specialist area to deliver tasks Supporting the engineering and technical interface with customers and suppliers when required for the specialist area Essential Qualifications: A degree in aerospace or an equivalent blend of qualification and/or experience Desirable Qualifications: Membership of a relevant professional body Knowledge of Flight Physics modelling and simulation Experience of working in or with MoD and the military This job was originally posted as www.totaljobs.com/job/89896809
