Express Recruitment are proud to be working on behalf an industry leading and award winning engineering consultancy based in Nottinghamshire. Due to an increased order book and continuous shareholder investment, our client are seeking a committed and customer focused Electrical Design Engineer to join their talented design team. Duties and Responsibilities: - Design LV switchgear, motor control centres and other special purpose machinery - Produce and maintain bill of materials - Produce complete electrical schematics - Attend design meetings to discuss low to high profile projects and assist with product reviews in order to make strategic proposals - Assist with the testing and verification of designed products and maintain an up to date knowledge of electrical processes - Provide technical support to production and sales teams - Ensure design projects are delivered on time and within the budget constraints - Assess the suitability of materials used for prototype design and builds - Help to implement Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement techniques throughout the electrical design department Qualifications and Experience: - HND/HNC in Electrical Engineering or similar - Proficient user of EPLAN and CAD software essential - Demonstrable design experience of special purpose machinery and LV switchgears - Experienced in fault finding on a wide range of electrical automated equipment desirable - Previous electrical fitting or testing experience would be an advantage - Ability to work simultaneously across multiple design projects whilst meeting strict deadlines - Ability to read and understand complex engineering drawings and schematics If you know you have the required skills and experience and would like to find out more please apply now.
