Overview

Java Software Engineer - Cambridge One of Cambridge's prominent employers of Java folk are looking for 2 Senior-level folk to join a growing team, working on a suite of powerful data-driven products. Their current technology stack is largely a Java-based ecosystem and culturally they push a continuous improvement initiative in order to drive the quality of releases and to keep the team consistently learning. You'll get to work in a varied position, where you are part of the design process, the development (naturally) but also the testing (working with QA to build test automation frameworks) so you have the chance to innovate, contribute ideas whilst remaining accountable for the quality. Stack is heavily Java-based right now, with JavaScript & Angular on the UI, and both Oracle & MongoDB with ElasticSearch for RDBMS, coupled with deploying onto AWS. Requirements Strong Java 8 and above Experience of Build tools like Maven or Gradle Version control tools Excellent problem solving skills Capable of articulating different programming paradigms & architectural concepts Nice to haves Working with complex data Developing SOAP & REST APIs RDBMS tech Front end skills Cloud platforms Oscar Technology is acting as an Employment Agency in relation to this vacancy.
