THE ROLE: You will be working in a fast paced environment together with a team of highly skilled Data Scientists and analysts where you will be tackling diverse projects to leverage Data Science techniques which will result in measurable commercial benefit. In specific, you can expect to be involved in the following: Help to deliver high impact ML solutions across the business to take advantage of market opportunities. Help to lead projects to design and implement end to end ML models and also update and optimise current models which are already in use across the business. Coaching and guiding members of the team or for the right candidate manage a team. Work collaboratively with stakeholders so that you understand the businesses needs and ensure you provide strategic solutions. YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE: The successful Lead Data Scientist will have the following skills and experience: Proven extensive experience developing and implementing Machine Learning algorithms from large data sets which have been structured and unstructured. Be an expert in mining large & very complex data sets using SQL, Hadoop, NoSQL and Spark. Have an in depth understanding of statistical modelling techniques such as deep learning, applied AI and reinforced learning. . Hold a PhD in a numerate discipline. Have experience in managing or mentoring colleagues in previous similar roles.
