About us Baycroft Great Baddow is a superb luxury home offering 24-hour personalised residential, nursing and dementia care. This new 64-bed home is located in the village of Great Baddow in the Chelmsford Borough of Essex. At Baycroft Great Baddow, we are committed to providing the best care. We are able to do this by employing the best care staff and ensuring their needs are being met, investing in the most innovative technology to ensure we deliver the most efficient care, all within luxurious care friendly surroundings and we are looking for a Host/Hostess to join the team. Location: Great Baddow Salary: £8.71 per hour Working hours: (37.5) 7:30AM – 3:30PM, 11:00AM – 7PM (This is a 7 day rota, you must be able to work weekends and both above shifts). The Role Prepare beverage trolleys, serving beverages and snacks to residents in line with operational standards Collect, wash and replenish jugs and glasses’ from residents rooms and lounge areas Prepare and deliver meal trays to resident’s rooms, the layup of the trays will be in line with the Baycroft Standard Prepare and deliver beverage trays to residents, relatives and guests or to offices/meetings Be aware of resident dietary needs and the dietary needs chart located in the kitchen, E.g. modified diets or diabetics Ensure dining areas are clean, tidy and attractively presented. Promptly prepare dining areas for the next meal service. Including laying tables with clean linen, polished cutlery, glassware and condiments Where dining areas are used for activities, liaise with activities staff, leaving the dining area clean and tidy. Serve food to residents in dining areas during meal times Collect trays and dirty crockery from resident’s rooms, lounges and other areas and return to the kitchen Put supplies away in the correct place and lock storerooms and cupboards. Leave kitchens tidy, clean and store rooms secure Report to nursing staff and head chefs any meals or drinks that have not been consumed when trays are removed from bedrooms Talk to residents on a daily basis Participate in resident of the day as directed by the General Manager As an organisation with a strong social purpose, One Housing works in some of the most diverse communities in the UK and their workforce reflects that.
