Overview
Data Protection Officer. Circa £60k Comprehensive Benefits Package. Permanent. London. T6/MN/17796. Global organisation is seeking to secure a Data Protection Officer, the role will help build a data protection culture across the organisation. The Data Protection Officer will ensure the organisation aligns to the European Union General Data Protection Regulation (EU GDPR) and Data Protection Act 2018 (DPA2018). The role will involve 5% International travel once all travel restrictions have been lifted. Skills and Experience Required GDPR - experience of delivering on GDPR project Strong knowledge of data protection legislation and other major privacy frameworks Ideally have an understanding of worldwide evolving legislation Experience of data management and information systems technology Managing data incidents and data breaches Able to identify data protection risks faced by a large data-driven organisation Knowledge of cybersecurity risks and information security standards Experience of developing policy and compliance training Strong change and project management skills and experience - able to influence change Effectively manage time and prioritise tasks to meet multiple deadlines Ability to use independent judgement and discretion when making majority of decisions Able to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion Able to function independently when required - act with integrity Professional interpersonal skills – has the ability to interact effectively with people at all levels Knowledge of MS Office and PC applications Keywords: GDPR, ISO27001, Data Protection Manager, Data Protection Officer, ISO 27001, Data Protection Manager, ISO27001 Lead Implementer, Data Protection Act, Data Protection Manager.
