Overview
We are looking for caring Children’s Support Workers living close to the Salisbury area of Wiltshire. This role is commutable from the surrounding towns and villages. Holding a Level 3 NVQ in Children & Young People's Workforce or Residential Childcare would be beneficial - but if you do not currently have these, the employer will support you in obtaining them. You must have 1-2 years-experience of working in a children’s, adult learning disabilities, mental health or a nursing setting; you must also be over the age of 19, and have a full UK Driving License and access to a vehicle. How can I make a difference? This service support children living with Emotional Behavioural Difficulties (EBD), Autism, Challenging Behaviours, or those who may have suffered trauma and abuse. As their Support Worker, you will be key in helping create a safe environment for the young people to flourish. You will help them with education and life skills, and ultimately, their independence. You will work with them to help them to respond to things that have happened in their lives, maximising their chance of a positive future. Salary, Hours & Benefits £18,250 - £21,556 per annum DOE; £36 per sleep-in (6 sleeps over 3 weeks, an extra £216 per month); Full-time hours, 3-week rota with a mix of earlies, lates, weekends and long days.
