Job Description
We are one of the UKs largest providers of social care, we specialise in supporting children to live a full and meaningful life. We are looking for passionate individuals to join our fantastic service and team in Aylesbury, to support our children's and education services. We are home to incredible young people , our role is to help develop them emotionally, socially and educate them. We are enthusiastic about making a positive impact on the young people that stay with us, some of them may have trouble with their emotions, come from a challenging background or have complex needs like autism or ADHD . You will be responsible for helping look after the children in our care, we work with each child to provide them with a individual and specific goals, whether that be education, care plans or helping them transition back into the world. A huge part of you'll do is be a friend to them, someone that listens and genuinely cares , you'll get involved with activities like taking them out to the shops, maybe it's swimming lessons or just getting them out and about having fun. As well as building fantastic relationships with the children, you'll also build amazing relationships with your team, leading them to success to ensure that they deliver the best level of care possible. It's all about being a role model, you'll be firm but fair with a keen eye for detail. You'll build strong relationships with the children which will put you in the position to help them deal with external agencies like social services, their families and other services that provide support. Of course you'll be a strong team player and set a good example - the best leaders always do! As much as you'll help us look after our residents, we'll look after you . What we need from you: - Strong leadership skills - Drive to help improve the lives of young people - Desire to develop and learn new skills - Strong communication skills - The ability to be a great role model! - Driver - Level 3 in children & young people Shifts, Hours & Benefits: - 40 hours a week - Occasional weekend shifts -Sleep ins on average 2 a week - Shifts: Flexible - Salary £20,000 - £27,000 - Pension - Benefits package!
