Overview
Immediate task -Review the current accounting and financial set up -Put in place new banking, invoice reporting and paying system -Put in place an authorisation matrix -Put in place an outsourced financial services to cover (and managed by yourself); Bookkeeping Payroll processing and Admin VAT returns Cash flow projections Management accounts Preparation of annual statuary accounts Duties and Responsibilities -Advise on long-term business and financial planning including capital structure, and tax planning -Direct the company's financial policies -Guide the company to maximise profitability -Retain awareness of financial position, advising on action to prevent problems -Drive financial strategy and planning, analysing performance and risks -Manage compliance and legal requirements of our financial affairs -Work with banks and external parties as required Requirements We are looking for a commercially astute, articulate, technically strong, dynamic, insightful and influential leader with the ability to operate at both strategic and operational levels. -Qualified ACA / ACCA or equivalent with an SME growth track record. -Used to owning the Finance function and building a supportive culture. -Used to proactively seeking opportunities to add value and develop the business. -Used to operating with a small team hands-on and contributing at Board level. -Used to using the latest tech to drive effectiveness. -Previous SME experience of data sales and franchise model, royalties and B2C e-commerce is desirable.
