Consumer Credit Loan Underwriter We are an exciting and dynamic London based vehicle finance company. Established 10 years ago, we are currently experiencing strong growth and are looking to add experienced secured loan underwriters to our team. This is an excellent opportunity for the right candidate to join an FCA regulated finance company and develop a successful and long-term career. The offices are accessible by public transport and off street parking available, and located close to local amenities. The responsibilities : risk based assessment of new secured logbook loan applications assess the circumstances of applicants review financial and non-financial documentation provided by applicants assess credit worthiness and affordability make recommendations to senior members of the team, where appropriate identify any potential fraudulent or illegal activity ad hoc duties related to other stages of the application process You: have strong commercial judgement are a confident decision-maker are confident and clear in discussions with applicants and managers are in possession of a high level of quantitative and qualitative analytical abilities can analyse bank statements and other financial documentation have strong attention to detail and a consistent approach are comfortable working in a fast paced environment have loan underwriting experience are a self-starter and thrive in a team friendly and professional, as well as being committed and hardworking This is a permanent role, based in our London Head Office. Highly competitive salary and package dependant on experience.
