Overview

Software Engineer - FinTech DESCRIPTION FPSG are partnered with an exciting FinTech business who are expanding their global operations in to Edinburgh and currently need to add experienced Back End Developers. You will be working on the development of numerous and varied interface to connections to outside parties across different platforms. KEY RESPONSIBILTIES Development and set up of Client's own API stack Backend (nodejs , expressjs, request, request-promise) Involvement in development of their strategy for Open Banking and establishment of necessary infrastructure Development of server side logic, definition and maintenance of central database Ensuring high performance and responsiveness of application Implementation of security and data protection solutions Work with the product and design teams to understand our customer needs and requirements, help formulate use cases Good problem solver, helping to identify solutions to difficult cases and help to deliver results to tight deadline Work with external data sources and API's NICE TO HAVE KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE Able to develop and grow within a new team Backend (nodejs , expressjs, request, request-promise) Good knowledge of back end programming language(s) Ability to make own decisions while working as part of a team Willing to work in a new environment where many decisions have still to be taken and where change is an ever present feature Exposure to Cloud Development AWS Amazon Web Services REWARD The successful Back End Developer with all the relevant matches for the role and business will receive a generous salary and package.
