The Company We are excited about working exclusively with a market leading food wholesale business based in Nottingham. The Role The role of the Logistics Analyst will be to provide analytical support for the Head of Logistics. They will work across a variety of projects in international supply chain, inventory and transport. You will have the opportunity to work closely with the 3PL in the UK and with the international container movements from their manufacturing and supply chain operations around the world. Other Responsibilities include: Liaising with shipping agents and the 3PL to ensure container inbound flows are expedited in a timely and cost-effective manner Ensure 3PL stock adjustments are captured, correctly coded and measured on a periodical basis to highlight trends and measure against the agreed KPI Review the pallet build situation on a regular basis to be able to identify potential opportunities for improvement. Slow moving lines, frozen stock, excess stock and Mis-rotation. Support the finance team with the management and control of stock returns and ensure a defined process to recover appropriate costs where relevant (stock losses, POD issues etc.) Update system with accurate information regarding latest container ETA data Produce inbound stock data reports for short and medium term planning Produce service performance data on a daily/weekly basis for our key customer accounts (OTIF) Review stock data on a daily/weekly basis to identify, challenge and correct potential issues as well as highlighting potential trends which require further investigation Produce data on the inbound stock flows with a view to identifying opportunities to improve (variable resource based on container contents, challenge suppliers where volume is split unnecessarily, ensure NCRs are followed through to cost recovery where relevant) Working Hours Are 08:30 - 17:00 Monday to Friday, with flexible working from different locations and from home after probation. The Skills Required The ideal candidate will have operated in an analytical logistics role previously. Either in supply chain, transport or inventory. They will also have skills and experiences clearly demonstrated in their CV in the following: Transport planning experience or Stock / Inventory analysis experience Degree in Logistics or Supply Chain would be advantageous. Understanding of 3PL transport Able to monitor the 3PL performance in an accurate fashion. Continuous improvement experience Projects ability Stockist / wholesale logistics experience An analytical , logical way of approaching problems. Good on excel and enjoys crunching data, but with the ability to extrapolate meaningful information. Ambitious, engaging and keen to learn. The ability to work well by themselves and be proactive with problems and solutions. Proactive Forward thinking Able to commute to Nottingham on a daily basis
