Overview

Our Milton Keynes based client is looking to recruit an Operations Coordinator to start as soon as possible, on a temporary to permanent basis. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Attending daily meetings Communicating any transport/onsite issues Following up on site snagging issues to completion Building and maintaining sub-contractor relationships Raising Purchase Orders for suppliers/sub-contractors Always ensuring best prices are gained from subcontractors Liaising and booking the company's transport requirements Answering office telephone Daily liaison with the warehouse team General office duties Updating the capacity planner Collating sign off paperwork from fitting teams and updating information onto our in house system Preparing jobs ready for invoicing Supporting the business with its month end process Ensuring that the commercial margins are kept at their highest Support the business on operational projects as required EXPERIENCE Experience of working in a varied administrative role within a fast moving environment. SKILLS Excellent verbal, written, presentation and communication skills Good numeracy and analytical skills IT literate with a good working knowledge of Word and Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook Express Knowledge and experience of working with databases Have a confident telephone manner and positive 'can do’ attitude Ability to work within a small team and with staff at all levels and with partner organisations, suppliers and clients Use initiative to develop new and beneficial working methods Be receptive to fast moving, challenging and rapidly changing/expanding operations Able to work under pressure in a calm and mature manner Highly accurate and able to work in an organised manner Ability to multi-task and constantly reappraise timescales and priorities PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES Commitment to the positive promotion of the company Confident and personable Committed to high professional standards Willingness to be flexible with working hours to respond to the needs of the business Car owner (desirable) Hours of work are initially 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday, changing to 8am to 4pm after training period.
