Job Title - Marine Broker Back Up Technician Contract - Permanent Salary - GBP25,000 Location - London Industry - Insurance _________________________________________________________________________________ About the role: The core of the role is handling the Hull and P&I for UK and European small commercial craft. This covers the tasks around new business, mid-term adjustment and renewal requirements of both direct clients and broker accounts. You: You will be reliable, organised and have a technical background. Proactive and process driven in order to deliver the best service to our clients, you will be capable of making logical decisions on a daily basis. Attention to detail is essential. Main Tasks: - Handling new business enquiries; production of slip/quotation with over-view of the underwriter. - Handling any MTAs and issuance of relevant paperwork - Issuance of renewal offers and follow ups. - Liaising with underwriters on any referrals. - Liaising with clients/brokers & handling any queries that may arise. - Ensuring procedures and documents meet FCA guidelines - Producing monthly statistical reports Key Skills: - Marine knowledge / background - Logical thinking and decision making - Analytical with an ability to present detailed information clearly, with an eye for detail. - Numeracy & IT literacy, with a good working knowledge insurance IT software packages - Strong communication skills - both verbal & written If you have the relevant experience or know someone that does please contact us now on or email us at _________________________________________________________________________________ To view all Current Vacancies or for more information on our Refer a Friend scheme, contact one of our consultants or visit our website www.lawesgroup.co.uk Please Note: Due to the sheer volume of applications we receive, we will only contact successful applications.
