Overview
We are partnering with a very successful Investment Bank based in the City of London as they're looking for a systems administrator to join their well established internal IT department Are you a passionate IT engineer looking to develop yourself in the financial Sector and willing to get stuck in? If you're looking to develop your skill set through project and infrastructure work, whilst acting as a point of escalation within a successful investment bank, this role is for you. Role You will: 2nd & 3rd line support across Windows desktops & server infrastructure, Azure and Office 365. Installation and configuration of hardware, operating systems, and applications Monitoring and maintenance of internal networks and services, reporting patterns and trends to the wider team and your line manager Troubleshooting issues raised by internal staff either face to face, over the phone or via our online portal Ensure change management standards are adhered to and auditable. Provide extend hours support for trading environment (rostered) Experience of working in a regulated environment. Financial services ideally. Profile Experience with cloud architecture (Azure/AWS) and information security controls Strong understanding of Windows environments (Win7, Win10, Server 2012, Server 2016 etc) Ideally an understanding of supporting trading/financial systems Strong understanding of core infrastructure (AD, DNS, DFS, networking etc) Good understanding of firewalls, vpns etc (Checkpoint, Cisco etc) Proven experience managing VMWare cluster environments Able to demonstrate the delivery of projects through proven project management frameworks such Prince2. Salary & Benefits £40,000 - £50,000 Competitive benefits package The salary range/rates of pay is dependent upon your experience, qualifications or training .
