Experienced Female Support Workers London W10 Area Pay Rate: £13.80 per hour for weekday hours £15.00 per hour for weekends Hours: Full and part-time Shift patterns within the following hours: · 9am to 7pm Tuesday to Friday · Midday to 8pm Saturday and Sunday · There may on occasion be a requirement for a sleeping night shift Fun-loving, sociable young woman seeks a small team of support workers to assist her in fulfilling her desire to be as independent as possible. A wheelchair user since her teens with a moderate learning disability, her life was disrupted cruelly three years ago by a road accident. Since then her goal has been to regain her former fitness and independence. She is a non-smoker/drinker living in her own flat, who appreciates good food, cinema and theatre, swimming, travelling and has a passion for shopping. This position would appeal to a well-organised, energetic, patient, caring person with similar interests who enjoys seeking resolutions to challenges in the pursuit of progress towards the independence sought by her client. Job Role · Assist with appointments and social activities · Assist with the client’s rehabilitation programme · Assist with hygiene needs, cooking including nutrition, community access and delivery of rehabilitation plans as directed by the overseeing therapists. · Need to be relatively fit to assist the client with wheelchair mobility Essential · Previous care experience dealing with vulnerable adults · Enhanced DBS check will be required · Female for personal care requirements (genuine occupational requirement) · Commitment to attending relevant training courses and agreed shift patterns Desirable · NVQ/QCF Level 2 or equivalent in care · Full clean driving licence · If you are interested in this post, please send your CV to recruit harrisonassociates.org quoting Job Ref: KC/CB W10/12020.
