London, Greater London

Overview

A global advertising agency is looking to appoint a commercial lawyer in the role of Legal Counsel in its central London offices. The role Reporting to a Legal Director with a track record of developing the lawyers that work for him, this is a role that will afford significant autonomy and responsibility for a broad and varied range of contracts, with particular emphasis on media planning and buying (including sponsorship, experiential, influencers & production matters). Working as part of an established, collegiate team, you'll be exposed to both UK-centric and international work, often working with some of the world's biggest consumer brands. What's required? This role requires a qualified lawyer with decent experience (minimum 3 years' PQE) of commercial contracts, IT/IP, data privacy, and eCommerce. Previous experience of digital or new media, marketing/advertising, or media supply chain knowledge would be advantageous. You may have trained in-house or in private practice but, in either case, you'll have dealt with complex commercial contracts on a frequent basis and ideally some exposure to media and/or technology focussed agreements. This would be an ideal first in-house role, or a step-up role for a candidate that has completed their training in-house and now seeks a new challenge. What will I receive in return? In addition to a competitive basic salary, you'll be working in funky offices in Central London which retain a vibrant, positive feel. On top of the standard package, such as pension and health insurance, perks include the option to buy up to 5 extra days' holiday, free breakfast and fruit throughout the day, monthly socials, subsidised cafe, flexi-working arrangements, early finish on Fridays and a healthy maternity/paternity pay policy.
