Overview

Our client, a leading Wealth Management business is looking for an experienced Paraplannner to join its team in Sheffield. The company is renowned for it's first class team environment and works with an excellent array of clients. The Paraplanner's key duties will include: To provide admin and technical support to a number of advisers , Dealing with day to day client and provider enquiries Arranging client meetings for the adviser Preparing for client review meetings including quote requests, obtaining valuations and fee information Preparing and submitting applications and supporting documents to product providers Inputting new business proposals to the back office system Undertaking fund switches upon the instruction of the client Preparing draft recommendation reports Undertaking fund performance comparisons Preparing product comparisons and analysing comparison illustrations Completing the FCA pension switching and replacement product templates Maintaining client files Ensure all compliance procedures have been followed Essential: Technical research and preparation for client meetings Experience of working as a paraplanner General knowledge of the pension, investment and protection products available currently in the market Knowledge of historic pension, investment and protection contracts Suitability letter writing skills and the ability to present complex information in a clear and logical format. Preparing client reports and suitability letters Preparing pension transfer reports Handling technical client queries Assisting with creation/evolution of portfolios Compliance oversight / Client Files ensuring team complies with FCA and internal compliance procedures A minimum of 2 years’ experience in an IFA support role Strong knowledge of investment & pension products Experience of using provider platforms and product provider extranet sites Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interact directly with clients and colleagues in a professional manner Ability to work as part of a team as well as on your own initiative A flexible and adaptable attitude towards work Excellent time management, ability to meet deadlines Experience of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and provider platforms DesirablePrepare cash flow analysis as required Provide accurate, technical research to ensure that the client file carries all required information to support the recommendations Liaise with the Compliance department as necessary throughout the advice process Be a point of technical reference for advisers The successful candidate will receive: An impressive and very competitive salary Discretionary bonus Pension 25 days holiday Study support
