Structured Finance Associate
Overview
This leading City firm is looking to hire an additional banking & finance associate with a background in structured finance for its small but growing team. The firm's banking & finance team is highly regarded and acts, in a roughly even split, for lenders, corporates and sponsors. The team allows all associates to work across the department, meaning one can have as much breadth or as little breadth as preferred. This particular role will have a primary focus on structured finance work. In this instance, DCM (bonds/high yield/MTNs/CLO/CDOs) Securitisation (R/CMBS) and structured financings/structured products. Again, the client base for these matters is varied. Beyond this, the role could include any other aspect of the Banking team's work flow as is of interest - acq/lev fin, syndicated lending, real estate finance, etc. Or none at all, if the associate would prefer to specialise. The role would suit an associate from a large City, international or US firm who wishes to be part of a smallish team doing high-end work - the loose sub-team undertaking structured finance work is led by 1 partner and has a couple of associates (who also enjoy breadth of work spanning the whole department). Equally, it would suit someone who might be in a fairly narrow role who would like some more breadth. Ideally, an associate with 2-5 years' experience in structured finance work is expected to be able to perform the role. Applications are also welcomed from those outside this range with the appropriate skill-set. The successful applicant is likely to be qualified in England & Wales or a common law jurisdiction and have experience from a leading firm in their jurisdiction. On offer is a remuneration package at the top end of the City market. For more information, please contact Michael Frankal at Chase Portland.
