Data Protection Solicitor/Barrister, 2 PQE, London, Salary £55,000 to £75,000 (DOE) plus extensive benefits, including the potential for an annual bonus and flexible working. Leading national law firm. Their public law team provides a plethora of advice on matters including judicial review, information law, confidentiality and regulation. DATA PROTECTION SOLICITOR: • The firm are seeking to appoint a Data Protection Solicitor to handle their own caseload and work primarily on the information law aspect within the department • The work will include, but not be limited to, GDPR, subject access requests, freedom of information and personal data breaches • This is an exceptional opportunity for the successful Data Protection Solicitor to really carve out a niche in this area, working alongside an exceptionally knowledgeable individual • You will be either a Solicitor or Barrister with some experience of advising on data protection law • It would be an advantage if you have worked in public law, healthcare or housing, but not a requirement • It is essential that the appointed Data Protection Solicitor is able to hit the ground running and to some extent, work fairly independently • There is scope for advocacy as part of the role and any previous experience of advocacy is welcomed • On offer is the chance to handle a high quality caseload and to work for a firm who values it's employees and are committed to ensuring there is flexibility as part of their roles • You will need to be able to fit into a structured corporate environment but in return you can expect to receive excellent supervision • The firm embraces agile and flexible working and so the opportunity to work from home a couple of days per week is on offer
