Overview
Permanent - Planning Lawyer – £37,733 to £49,177 – East Anglia Venn Group’s specialist legal team are excited to be recruiting for a Planning Lawyer to join a Local Authority based in the East Anglia. The position is offered on a full-time basis, with the possibility of flexible working. The successful applicant will possess a thorough knowledge of planning law and will have managed a caseload of matters within Local Government. Whilst not essential, a candidate with experience of other areas of law would be beneficial. Applications are welcome from qualified Solicitors, Barristers or Legal Executives with relevant experience; ideally gained from within local government. Day-to-day duties will include: Handling a range of Planning matters including s106 agreements Advising on Right of Way enquiries Attending Planning Enforcement meetings Dealing with minerals and waste planning, development and highways related matters Advising on a variety of general Planning Law enquiries Attending Planning Committees when required Deputise for the Head of Service when required When required, advising on other areas of law Benefits include: Local Government Pensions Scheme – considered to be one of the best employer contribution rates.
