Overview
Telesales (New Membership) Location: Office based, Plymouth Working within: Membership Team Reporting to: Operations Support Manager Salary & Benefits: £19,000 (Inter-company referral bonuses available) Hours: Normal hours will be 37.5 per week, Monday to Friday 0900 to 1700. About SMAS SMAS Worksafe is a registered member Scheme of Safety Schemes in Procurement (SSIP). We are a H&S Assessment organisation that takes great pride in our professionalism, customer service and efficiency. Working with many of the major organisations across the UK we have developed experience and expertise in new build construction, but we also deal with many other construction organisations as well as those in Education and Care. We continue to expand, and currently have a team of 28 staff based in our offices in Estover, Plymouth. About the role You will be expected to maintain an up to date knowledge of all products and services and promote these to callers without hard selling. You'll be dealing with callers promptly, accurately and efficiently, which could involve up to 50-60 calls per day. The role will involve following up enquires proactively, and issuing relevant literature, illustrations and application forms. Contacting customers periodically regarding services and products is another big part of this role. Experience required Previous telesales experience (a customer service environment would be desirable) Demonstratable experience of providing clear and consistent advice and support Experience of working on your own initiative Ability to work as part of a team Skills IT literate Team player Time management Planning Attention to detail Attributes Dynamic and innovative Hard worker, motivated, pro-active and enthusiastic Self-confident and resourceful Excellent social and interpersonal skills Positive outlook Good sense of humour Copes well under pressure Calm and methodical approach General Full training will be provided in house and any technical support will be available from Management team.
