Infrastructure Design Engineer - Highways, Permanent Vacancy, Bath, £22,000 - £36,000 Your new company Your new company is a well-established independent Transport Planning and Engineering consultancy based in the centre of Bath. Providing a high quality, personalised transport planning and infrastructure design services, they have built a strong client base that go back time and time again. Their principle function is problem solving, with the client's requirements at the forefront of their business. Throughout, all staff maintain a professional hands-on approach with everything they do ensuring that costs are kept down while the quality and service remains high. Your new role The role will involve the design and delivery of highway and drainage schemes, from concept through to completion, including preparation of detailed engineering design submissions for Section 38/278 and Section 104 Agreement schemes, using AutoCAD, PDS and MicroDrainage across a range of major and minor highways projects. Knowledge and experience of contract documentation including conditions of contract, specifications, methods of measurement, bills of quantities and contract administration would be beneficial. What you'll need to succeed You will need to demonstrate a working knowledge and experience in highways design and general infrastructure engineering projects, with reference to appropriate design software (PDS / Autocad / MicroDrainage) and standards (DMRB / Highway Authority Design Guidance). Report writing skills will be an additional benefit, in providing input toward Flood Risk Assessment / Drainage Strategy reports in support of planning applications. The role will suit someone with an inquiring mind and a desire to learn new skills. What you'll get in return You will receive a competitive salary of between £22,000 - £36,000 dependant on experience. Additionally, a non-contributory pension scheme is offered with the employer paying 10% of the salary. Working hours are 37.5 per week and you will be entitled to 25 days holiday plus all bank holidays.
