Junior Structural Engineering Vacancy in Cardiff, Building Structures, Structural Engineering Your new company Your new company have become one of Wales most established independent Civil and Structural Engineering Consultancies, yet their original philosophy based on strong personal relationships have been retained. They work across a variety of sectors including, Care Homes, retail, commercial, residential, pre-development engineering and infrastructure design, aiming to provide a a broad range of structural and civil engineering design services to deliver well engineered cost effective designs for their clients. Your new role In your new role you will be undertaking detailed design and analysis of structural elements and frames in concrete, steel, timber and masonry for mostly residential, educational and commercial buildings, liaising with architects, statutory authorities, the design team and contractors, be involved with site surveys and inspection work and working together with others to meet deadlines. What you'll need to succeed You will ideally have relevant basic skills and knowledge, with a minimum of degree level or equivalent vocational qualification in Structural Engineering. You should be able to understand and create structural plans and details from architectural plans using AutoCAD, have carried out detailed design and analysis of structural elements and frames in concrete, steel, timber and masonry to current Eurocodes and relevant design guidance notes, be able to communicate fluently in both spoken and written English, think creatively and logically to resolve design challenges and be able to manage your own time and work load. What you'll get in return You will be rewarded with a competitive salary £26,000 - £30,000 DOE, 28 days holiday bank holidays, pension contributions, support in obtaining Chartership, regular social and to be enrolled on the Company Private Healthcare Scheme.
