Leading Housebuilder requires assistant site manager to join their team immediately on project in East Lothian Your new company Our client are a leading housebuilder who are growing strongly within the premium housebuilding market in Edinburgh. With a strong brand and exceptional senior leadership group they are poised to continue this growth over the next 12 to 18 months. Your new role Our client have a large housing development in East Lothian which is currently running at peak activity. To assist this project they are seeking to add an experienced assistant site manager or site manager to their team on an initial temporary or contract basis. Reporting to the project manager you will be responsible for managing a crew of subcontractors ensuring they are working according to programme and in a safe manner. Our client take health and safety seriously and you will be expected to ensure that the site is a safe work environment.You will be responsible for handing over completed houses to excited clients and managing and rectifying problems as they arise in this process. What you'll need to succeed As assistant or site manager you will ideally have experience of working on a large housebuilding project previously and understand the pressures and expectations of these projects. You will have superior construction knowledge backed up by a trade qualification and experience on the tools. This role is an immediate requirement so ideally you will be available now and are keen to jump into something quickly with a strong and professional housebuilding company. What you'll get in return This is an immediate start and you will be paid for every hour you work and get an attractive hourly rate.
