Overview
Leading Tier 2 Contractor seeks Site Manager to help deliver £18 million school in Edinburgh Your new company Our client are a leading tier 2 contractor with operations across the central belt. With a strong pipeline of work already secured for 2020 across public and private sectors they are seeking at least one if not two site managers to join their business. Your new role Your initial project will be an £18million school project in Edinburgh. This project is already commenced and requires a strong site manager to take over the project and drive it to completion. This is a busy complicated project with an ambitious programme so this will not be for the faint-hearted but an experienced site manager will thrive in this environment and be stimulated by delivering such a high profile and exciting project. As site manager you will report to the Project Manager and be fully responsible for all site operations. From managing and organising your crew of subcontractors to liaising with and communicating with project stakeholders such as design consultancies and client this will be a role which will see you play a key role in the projects delivery. What you'll need to succeed The successful candidate will be from a trade background and be an experienced site manager who has a good track record of delivery across commercial building projects. Ideally you will have worked on schools or university projects previously and enjoy their challenge and complexity. Your exceptional construction knowledge, natural leadership ability and strong communication skills have seen you accelerate your career off the tools and into senior management. You will be respected by the local subcontractor base and have a good knowledge of their capability and track record.
