Interim job - long term - assistant quantity surveyor - inside IR35 - public sector - £225-300 ltd - Your new company On behalf of our client, a public sector organisation in South London, Hays Property & Surveying are currently seeking an assistant quantity surveyor/ quantity surveyor to join their in-house, fee-earning multi-disciplinary consultancy service, covering a full range of construction professional services including M&E, building and quantity surveying, architecture, energy management and project management. As an Assistant Quantity Surveyor/ Quantity Surveyor you will work closely with Stakeholders and colleagues within the service leading the cost evaluation, cost control, procuring and cost management of all construction activities on multiple projects. You will plan and manage the cost of projects, delivering schemes that meet budget, design, quality and sustainability objectives in line with procurement and financial procedures. You will provide cost, feasibility and quantity surveying advice on designated projects from inception to completion, you will prepare contract documentation and manage payments. What you'll need to succeed Experience of budgeting, cost control, estimating, interim and final accounts. Experience of tender procedures and contract administration. Strong negotiation skills. Total IT literacy with excellent communication skills. Ability to work autonomously and to tight deadlines. Experience gained in the public sector environment is desirable. Have or working towards RICS accredited degree or equivalent in Quantity Surveying. What you'll get in return In return: Possibility to work for a well-established organisation.
