Overview

Permanent position with a large multi-disciplinary in Manchester for a senior mechanical design engineer. Your new company This is a large multi-disciplinary consultancy that has been around for over a century, working across a range of sectors in leisure, healthcare, education, transport and heritage. Their building services department is over 40 head strong in Manchester and growing. This company has a three-year growth plan and is looking for a senior mechanical design engineer to join the team. Your new role You will be working as part of an established M&E team alongside architects, structural and building services engineers in a spacious open plan office. You will be predominantly working on leisure sector projects, but the workload will also involve healthcare, universities and heritage sector. You will be meeting clients to obtain initial specification following which you will consult the client on creative design that can be implemented to their projects. This role will involve working form initial concept design through to detailed design and handover. What you'll need to succeed You will be degree qualified in building services or equivalent with previous experience working on projects in the above sectors. You will be a chartered engineer or on the way to become chartered with really good communication skills. This role will require you to work within a multi-disciplinary environment where you will embrace creative approach to design. You must possess really good IT skills including Revit and AutoCAD.
