Network Consultant | up to £450/day | South East w/ Travel Jonothan Bosworth Recruitment Specialists are currently seeking a Network Consultant for what is a key client; a managed cloud, infrastructure and IT consultancy provider based in Surrey. The ideal candidate will provide hands-on technical consultancy to both our client and their managed service customers; assisting with the defining and planning of technical strategy, standards and future services roadmap. CCNP & CCIE Written is an essential pre-requisite. THE BASICS: Network Consultants with several years' experience in technical consultancy role, ideally in a client facing commercial organisation working for an IT Solutions provider , with exposure to technical environments - data centre hosting, virtualisation, multi-vendor networking (Cisco/Juniper) authentication and security are likely to receive an immediate interview request. Individuals with significant experience of all aspects of complex physical and virtual networking infrastructure in a multi tenanted environment , coupled with a hands-on, pro-active approach to consultancy and support assistance and excellent communication, documentation and presentation skills will be sought after. Technical design, testing plan creation experience and report generation and statistical analysis experience is also important. THE TECHNICAL LIST: Multi-Tenanted environments . Cisco Nexus switches. Configuring vPCs and related L2 connectivity . Cisco ( IOS, XE, XR and NX-OS ). QoS and CoS experience. IP telephony deployments (vendor not important). Datacentre Interconnects. Deploying and maintaining WAN networks - IP and Ethernet WANs. Managing WAN providers and installations. Authentication methods, including 2FA, AD, RADIUS and certificate-based authentication. Security best practice awareness and investigation (including penetration testing method and network hardening , IPS / IDS, IPSEC and SSL VPNs). Web and content filtering. Load balancing. Firewalling. Azure networking. Solarwinds . THE INTERVIEW TIMES & START DATE: Network Consultants that can make themselves available on 9th, 10th or 11th March for a telephone interviews and are also in a position to start a new contract on 16th March , should apply TODAY.
