Overview

Pavilion recruitment are engaged exclusively with a London based Global business in the recruitment of an Assistant to the Financial Controller. This is a fantastic role and a newly created position due to business growth. I am seeking a candidate from an Insurance business and I will consider profiles from all area’s of the Insurance sector. You will be working closely with the Financial Controller and the CFO. I am seeking a fully qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA candidate. This is a permanent role however there is a fairly immediate start available for the right candidate, depending on your specific notice period. Responsibilities: Production of the Annual Budgets in collaboration with Finance & Senior Management Production of annual statutory accounts Production of Monthly Management Accountants Variance Analysis Cash Flow forecasting Settlement of and accounting for all corporate overheads Tax computations Management of all bank accounts within the region Liaison with Group Functions including: Sales, Compliance, Legal, Operations and Underwriting General Ledger management Evaluation of the Finance function (eg General Ledger) and suggestion of changes to improve efficiency and internal controls. Requirements and Experience: Minimum of 3 years PQE- ACA, ACCA or CIMA Experience with an Insurance business with either a (re)insurer or a (re)insurance intermediary would be an advantage Experience with group accounting and consolidations would be an advantage Experience with multi-currency accounting and treasury management Strong IT skills with an interest in systems Hands on attitude Excellent numerical and analytical skills Critical thinking and problem solving
