Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Compliance Officer working in St Pauls Square in Birmingham for a leading nationwide healthcare recruitment agency that supply Specialist Staff, RGN’s and HCA’s into the NHS, private hospitals and care homes. Job Purpose The job holder will be responsible for ensuring that all candidates are compliant to work to CCS, LPP, HTE and GRI standards before commencing work Key Accountabilities/Activities Obtaining relevant professional references for all new starters; Ensuring the candidate is eligible to work in the UK through VISA and Home Office checks; Obtaining full and enhanced DBS checks for all applicants; Checking all relevant qualifications and skills for all new starters; Booking new starters onto relevant training courses; Updating the 'in house’ database system with communication and compliance logs; Liaising with Branch Managers and colleagues regarding the progress of new starters; You may also be required to attend recruitment fairs and University events Undertake all other reasonable duties or projects as directed by your line manager; To adhere to Company policies, systems or procedures and codes of practice to which the Company subscribes; and Ensure the best interests of the company are met at all times. Completing AWR and IR35 project work Other Duties In order to deliver services effectively, a degree of flexibility is needed and the post holder may be required to perform work not specifically referred to above. Important Working Relationships Complaince, Audit and Training Manager Recruitment Consultants Branch Managers across the business Candidates Knowledge, Qualifications, Skills and Experience Previous experience and knowledge of working in a similar Compliance role preferred; Experience of working in a Resourcer or Recruiter role will also be considered; Previous experience working within a busy working environment; Excellent organisational skills; Ability to prioritise workload; Good level of general education; Excellent eye for detail and accuracy; Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to communicate with people at all levels both in person and over the telephone; and Ability to build and maintain excellent working relationships with strong customer service skills.
