Overview

My client is looking to recruit an experienced Compliance Manager to support and drive a robust monitoring strategy across the groups risk and regulatory functions. You’ll play a lead role in managing effective compliance monitoring programmes, conducting regular compliance reviews on a range of operational processes whilst providing advisory and assistance to business stakeholders when required. Selection of Responsibilities; Work closely with Head of Compliance to establish and drive a best in class compliance monitoring function Driving Compliance policy challenge and improvement - suggesting, developing and leading any education and awareness raising initiatives for compliance policies Provide ongoing Compliance advisory support to business areas of the business Develop & deliver insightful management reports identifying areas of non-compliance with internal policy, regulatory requirements and the internal control framework Review, monitor and track actions from reports completed by external auditors, ensuring a timely and satisfactory closure is achieved and evidenced by audit trail Represent Compliance at stakeholder and client facing meetings Contributing to the wider management of non-financial risks in the Risk Directorate. Lead in development and update of the Compliance Monitoring Methodology and proactively assist with the development and update of the Compliance Manual and underlying procedures / processes to ensure that they are as robust as possible Working collaboratively with colleagues on strategic initiatives across the Risk Directorate Undertake ad hoc investigations and projects as directed Selection of Skills Required; Demonstrable experience in a similar compliance monitoring or audit role required, covering 1st/2nd and 3rd line regulatory / monitoring experience (Ideally financial services) Drive for results - personal ownership and accountability for delivering against commitments; monitoring performance against plans and resetting direction as necessary Awareness and understanding of the regulatory framework in which the business operates and its regulatory requirements and standards Confident and able to analyse and present complex information with internal and external customers Ability to assimilate and utilize new information, processes and training Effective communication skills for written and verbal reporting and the ability to present to group meetings Ability to communicate compliance strategy effectively whilst influencing business stakeholders Demonstrate Excellent analytical, verbal, written communication skills.
