Overview
Data Quality Analyst - Insurance - Perm Our client; one of the world's largest Insurance groups are seeking a Data Quality Analyst on a permanent basis to join them, reporting to the Head of Data Quality & Governance. They're looking for someone to promote, facilitate and implement strong standards for Data Quality and Governance throughout the group and to design and perform a programme of data quality reviews prioritising the most material data sets. Key Responsibilities: Driving the application of data quality checking to deliver improvements in quality and assist in providing assurance to management on the quality of data Ensuring compliance with regulatory and TM Group requirements as they relate to data and data quality Working alongside all teams in the business to build a strong culture of data ownership and responsibility. Identifying, and working with data owners to resolve issues arising from data quality reporting Working to ensure that the approach to data quality checking is aligned to Operational, IT and related functional strategies Championing the company values and working in accordance with the organisational behaviours, including: Working collaboratively with business representatives and corporate functions on data management initiatives To be aware of and comply with the relevant rules and regulations in relation to data protection, financial crime and conduct. Key requirements: Understanding of data quality approaches Knowledge of how insurance company data sets are used within the business Advanced data manipulation skills and application of formulae. Understanding of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and advanced Excel. An ability to "see the wood for trees" is important, especially to understand what constitutes key data for prioritisation purposes. An ability to understand how to identify, report on and correct data quality issues is key to delivering on the role requirements effectively Strong stakeholder management skills to shape the way we work, including the ability to challenge Data Owners Excellent trouble shooting and problem-solving skills Good interpersonal skills and a good team player enabling interaction with the business to understand the background to their data sets.
