Overview

Award winning Creative Agency are looking for a commercially minded accountant to head up their finance team. Overall responsibility for the day to day activities of the Finance team ensuring that all reporting deadlines are met (both internally and externally) whilst acting as a true business partner to the business by both building solid relationships with key stakeholders and making a significant strategic impact to the way we work. This is a great opportunity for an FC looking for their next step up The role: Managing Finance team; ensuring they remain motivated, meet objectives set and continually mentoring to develop ability. Responsibility for undertaking appraisals and objective setting Partnering with key stakeholders in the business with the aim of maximising profitability Overseeing month end process; ensuring accuracy and that deadlines are met Completing monthly forecasting Implementing and enhancing current financial processes / internal controls for the agency with the aim of increasing efficiency and reducing complexity Assisting in annual budget setting for the business Attending procurement and credit control meetings with Clients Preparation annual statutory accounts for audit and tax reporting Managing audit process (group and statutory) Managing cash flow Managing group reporting and ensuring group KPI's are met Ensuring monthly payroll, pensions and benefit data is accurate and on time Ensuring legal and GDPR compliance in commercial contracts Negotiating supplier terms and renewals of contracts Partnering with management team on financial and non-financial matters The person: Qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA) Been responsible for an entire finance function, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Management Accounts and Financial Accounts Experience managing a team Commercial insight Strong IT skills (MS Outlook, Word, PowerPoint & Excel) Excellent communicator both verbal and written Ability to engage positively with people across all levels within the agency Extremely passionate and positive with infectious enthusiasm Bold and determined to make an impact Proactive, take the initiative to get things done
