The day job The Senior Project Manager will take accountability for the successful delivery of CITB projects, by directing, leading and driving the project delivery. Whilst guiding and directing project managers, ensuring that effective project controls are established and maintained for all projects within their span of control. Ensuring that a clear understanding of projects’ progress, plans, risk and status is regularly, clearly and accurately reported, identifying and resolving conflicts wherever they arise. ? Key Responsibilities: Provide leadership and to take accountability for each project Establish and maintain an effective customer engagement Effectively engaging the customer, subcontractors, third parties and project stakeholders Ensuring that a clear understanding of projects’ progress, plans, risk and status is regularly, clearly and accurately reported, identifying and resolving conflicts wherever they arise Promote and implement project management best practice Ensure that each project is the subject of a clearly defined and agreed project baseline Essential skills: Programme or Portfolio experience Proven background in large scale IT programmes Excellent senior stakeholder experience Strong team management experience Experience of working in a Shared Service for the Public Sector
