NDT Technician
Overview
Morson have an exciting vacancy for an NDT Technician based in Yeovil for one of our Aerospace Clients. Job Description The NDT is responsible to the Field Service Manager to provide all aspects of NDT support across the Clients product range globally. Whilst the majority of focus will be to support NDT requirements, there will be requirements to support overseas requirements within the scope of existing experience and authorisations. Key Job Accountabilities Include: Provide Level 2 NDT services to the Clients customers in the UK and overseas 'as required' and within the scope of NDT authorisations held. Provide oversight and continuation training for NDT Level 1 technicians 'as required' and within the scope of NDT authorisations held. Maintain regular interaction with the NDT Responsible Level 3, ensuring own training and delivery of NDT provided services remain compliant to the Clients operating procedures. Maintain regular interaction with Aircraft Service Platform leads to inform your movement schedule to accommodate operational needs at UK based operations. Maintain regular interaction with the Field Service Manager to inform your master movement schedule to accommodate NDT Contractor Working Party requirements in support of export customer Aircraft and Components. Ensure positive promotion of Flight Safety and Human Factors awareness Assist NDT Level 3 with development and technical authorship of effective NDT techniques Required skills/experience; Level 2 certification in both Penetrant Flaw Detection/Inspection (PT) and Eddy Current Inspection (ET) An apprenticeship within Engineering NDT experience within an Aerospace, Defence or Military environment Please contact us for more information.
