General Manager, Fish and Chip Retailer, Notting Hill - up to £40k immediately available Your new company Our client a fast growing fish and chip retailer have been established for over 15 years. The company, offer a traditional menu and believe in the quality of their brand insisting that every part of the customer experience is as smooth and friendly as possible. They are looking to recruit a General Manager to take responsibility for the daily operations of a branch in Notting Hill who can motivate and develop a sales team to ensure targets are met and achieved. You will oversee both the takeaway and restaurant function. This a fast-paced company that rewards the good performance of its managers. Your new role You will lead a store of 10 employees and strive to maintain the highest standards regarding customer service and sales. As a General Manager you will be responsible for the financial and operational performance of the business. It is essential to have experience working within a restaurant/takeaway previously. You will be responsible for delivering terrific service and immaculate brand standards. You will also provide training and mentoring your team in order to achieve operational standards whilst ensuring health and safety standards are maintained. You will be responsible for maximising profitability through cost control and will contribute to the suggestion and implementation of sales initiatives. What you'll need to succeed You will have previous experience in managing a restaurant and will have demonstrable management experience leading teams. You will be approachable, proactive, confident and motivated by sales and achieving and exceeding targets. You must have a fun and enthusiastic approach to and are able to display an incredible work ethic. You will be required to work weekends and be flexible in your schedule to cover key trading times (Tuesday and Friday are essential days to work). You will be required to work 40 hours (Opening times 11.30-9.30pm 7 days a week).
