Overview
A great opportunity has arisen for an analytical, commercial Buyer to join the commercial team of this successful, multi product retailer. You will be responsible for your own categories and be expected to develop strategies as well as sourcing new products and suppliers, liaising with major brands, negotiating cost prices and supplier terms, managing promotions and proposing business suggestions. You will conduct regular sales analysis, review weekly trading reports, monitor new line performance and make decisions on stock levels. We are looking for an experienced Buyer ideally from a Fragrance, FMCG or Branded Beauty background with a sharp commercial edge and a confident negotiation style. Applicants must be highly analytical with good numerical abilities and be able to react quickly under pressure. Candidates ideally will come from an own label background but will consider branded candidates also.
