Overview
Our established client is currently looking to recruit a Technical Architect on an initial 6 month contract. Technical IT Architect £500 per day Nottingham The successful candidate will have previously worked as an Enterprise Architect /Technical Architect and have experience working with the EUC stack and cloud technologies. You will, as part of the enterprise IT architecture team, provide architectural leadership, support the delivery of architectural assurance and governance and direction and be comfortable providing architecture for mission critical IT systems. Key responsibilities Provide technical leadership and consultancy for cross-functional and cross-technology projects. This will include engaging internal IT teams and 3rd party vendors across the organisation. Providing outline architectures, building blocks and direction for end-to-end solutions to meet the requirements of the business and ensure these are successfully delivered Work with Enterprise Architects and Solution Designers to maintain appropriate architecture documentation to support IT solutions Work with Global Service Owners and architects to identify opportunities, and building solutions as per the defined strategies to offer new technology, service improvements and operating models Define technical architecture and technical roadmap design, along with the supporting architecture principles and patterns Technical Skills Network solutions - Cisco switching, routing, wireless, load balancers, VPN, MPLS WAN, SD-WAN, QoS, ACI, Azure ExpressRoute, Security solutions - Email, endpoint, web, Firewalls, IPS, IDS, WAF, PKI, VPN, MFA and other identity management services Microsoft Enterprise product suite - Windows Server, AD, ADFS, NPS, DHCP, DNS, Cluster services Telephony and collaboration - Traditional PBX and VOIP platforms across an international setting. Microsoft Skype and Teams voice integration Server infrastructure - Virtualisation, storage, managed backup, hyper-converged platforms Private and public Cloud technologies - Particularly Azure Cloud migration and co-existence techniques. Full range of Azure IaaS, PaaS, SaaS products including Azure SQL, Cosmos DB and Azure App services Office 365 - Full product stack and supporting technologies Databases platforms - Oracle, DB2, MS SQL, MySQL, operating in clustered environments The ideal candidate will be TOGAF and ITIL certified and have working knowledge of data protection and compliance standards.
