Network Engineer Network Engineer, Juniper, Switching, Routing, LAN/WAN, SC clearance Location - 70% remote plus 30% travel to Warrington, Manchester, Crewe and Solihull Salary - £50,000 - £55,000 Overview Our client, a leading international information and communication technology provider is looking for a Network Engineer to join them on a permanent basis. The role working in our network operations environment to bring skills and innovation and enhance the service we provide to our customers. It involves being part of a responsive network support service across all customer contracts, responsible for providing third Line technical support and implementation of a range of network technology products and services. Our Network Operations function supports LAN/WAN and Wi-Fi data networks 24 hours' x 365 days a year across a host of vendor technologies including Cisco, Juniper, Aruba, Cisco Meraki, Brocade, Citrix, 3Com among others. Using sophisticated network management systems, such as CA Spectrum, Cisco Prime, NCM, SevOne, Splunk, Cacti, Aruba Airwave and HP Openview. Key Accountabilities Supporting data centre shared services for managed service based customers Supporting shared virtualized and cloud technology based platforms Maintenance of customer's documentation, change control validation and impact Remote configuration of network components & infrastructure. In-depth troubleshooting of complex network related incidents Incident management and root cause analysis Change management, implementation, build and test Technical consultation with stakeholders and internal customers Out of hours change implementation and Standby/on-call support Device patching process adherence including testing and implementation Design input and validation Skills Required Extensive experience in Cisco and/or Juniper network technology An in-depth knowledge of network LAN/WAN and Wi-Fi technology and protocols to an advanced level An understanding of load balancer technology Strong verbal and written technical communications skills at all levels, both internally and externally Readily take ownership & responsibility Excellent problem solving and analytical skills Customer service orientation Ability to work whilst under pressure Enthusiastic team player Mobility for some UK travel It is essential you are currently hold or are able to achieve and maintain SC clearance.
