An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor \ Commercial Manager to join a Nottingham based Building & Civil Engineering. The vast majority of all our projects are based in the East & West Midlands We are seeking a highly motivated and ambitious individual to join our business with a view to help to continue to grow our business and satisfy client demand. This is a fantastic opportunity for a driven individual to be involved in projects from variety of Civil Engineering and Groundworks contracts in the following sectors: Residential, Industrial and Commercial, taking full responsibility for the commercial aspects of the projects from conception to design, construction and completion. Responsibilities; · General estimating · Producing bills of quantities Assist with preparing plans, contracts, budgets and other documentation On-site measurement and measurement of drawings as required Assist with identifying potential risks and evaluate options for control Feasibility studies of client’s requests Procurement of Sub-Contractor packages and analysing sub-contractors’ quotations Assist with preparation and agreeing variation accounts Assist with preparation and agreeing of interim valuations and final accounts Prepare and issue certification for contract payments to sub-contractors Contract financial control ensuring that instruction procedures are followed and assisting with providing evidence for resolution of disputes You will need; Experience across a variety of projects and sectors will be hugely beneficial and in addition we require the following: · A Degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent with experience · 10 years experience in Quantity Surveying ( Ideally Groundworks & Civils) · IT literate · Strong negotiating and communication skills · Eligibility to work and live permanently in the UK · A full, UK driving licence and flexibility to travel to site locations · Ability to stick to deadlines and hit targets Preferred Experience; · Experience of running multiple sites Benefits; Job Type: Full-time Salary: £ 75k -With a flexible package to suit the right candidate dependent on experience Working in an exciting, expanding and developing company.
