Overview
Leadership role with a European remit Work within a high energy, fast paced business Client Details The company is an established retail business, which is performing well in this region. Operating with very strong values, this business really does engage with it's employees, and at the front of their strategy is to look at their employees career development and welfare. This business is people lead, so this role will play a huge part in the companies future. Alongside this, the company has strong CSR values, driven by their impressive CEO. Description Reporting to the European CEO, the European HR Director will support the regional board in delivering an effective people strategy. Developing the culture, through a highly acquisitive business is critical, and the values of passion, integrity are expected to show clearly. Although highly commercial and strategic in content, this position will also need to be 'hands on' where needed, as the company has a strong family feel to it. Human Resources isn't a structured area for this company, so this role will constantly look at better ways of working, improvements and making recommendations to the board. There is a very large headcount across the region, so the HRD will need to adapt to a varied range of HR issues. Profile The successful candidate will come from either a retail or FMCG sector background (these sector needs to thread through your whole CV) or alternatively you will have worked in roles that have partnered very closely with Sales and Marketing. Candidates must have European experience, those with only UK experience will not be considered. We are also looking for HR experts who have sat on a local board - not necessarily as a Director, but the no1 in HR in their region. Finally, we are interested in speaking to candidates who have worked for large companies. There are over 50,000 employees in this company, so we are looking for individuals who are used to working in this scale of business. Job Offer A salary depending on experience of between £100,000 and £140,000. A generous package in addition to this. Although based near Slough, there will be regular European Travel with this role - so please only get in touch if you are comfortable with this element.
